Household Heartbeat

Dear Followers of The Way:

God bless you abundantly in the name of Jesus Christ!

In February and March, we were able to conduct five ministry classes as some of the pandemic restrictions were lifted. We completed a Defeating the Adversary class, and four Way of Abundance and Power classes – one Foundational and three Intermediate.  In all these classes, God’s Word is taught with clarity and simplicity so that it is easy to be entreated and believed. Believing, which is acting on the Word, is one of the great results that happens when God’s Word is taught.

On our website, www.thewayministryofcanada.ca and on www.theway.org it states why our ministry is so adamant about teaching the rightly divided Word of truth: “The Word of God is that food required by man so that he may first know and then act on God’s Word and thereby manifest the more abundant life….We are dedicated to setting before people the astonishing accuracy and practicality of God’s Word and letting people decide for themselves whether or not to believe it or use it…. We set forth our study as workmen of the Word of God, realizing that if the research is a right dividing (a perfectly right cutting) of God’s Word, many who believe will be blessed…. The Word of God is the will of God. If we sincerely want answers and believe in God’s authority, we must study the revelation given in His Word.”

We teach God’s Word so that people can believe it. A good example of this is what God accomplished in Christ.  God fulfilled his plan to legally redeem humanity with the birth of Jesus Christ, his sinless life, the death of Jesus Christ, his resurrection three days and three nights later, his ministry following the resurrection, his ascension and the giving of the gift of holy spirit on the day of Pentecost.  Now anyone can be born again of God’s spirit and enjoy what God accomplished in Christ, which is seen in Romans chapter 3.

Romans 3:25 and 26:

Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;

To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.

In Romans 3:25, the word “faith” means “believing.”  The term “in his blood” is a figure of speech referring to Jesus

Christ’s giving his life and the benefits of his accomplishments.

One result of Christ’s accomplishments is that when a person is born again, they are made righteous.  In the book The Bible Tells Me So, we read the following about righteousness: Many born-again believers are spiritually defeated in this life because of sin-consciousness.  They have been saved, but Satan comes to their minds and tells them they are not good enough for salvation because of the many years they lived in sin.  This spiritual antagonism and defeat comes when a person does not realize what has been given to him by Jesus Christ.  When a person becomes a Christian, he is legally made righteous in Christ.  What is righteousness?  Righteousness is the God-given justification whereby a person stands in the presence of God without consciousness of sin, guilt, or shortcomings….”

Can you imagine standing before God and feeling totally welcome, acceptable and “at home” with Him?  This is the truth of God’s Word and God wants us to believe it.

The teaching about our righteousness is in our ministry’s classes and publications.  Because of the clear and logical way that it is taught, we can believe it and act upon.  The teaching of the Word makes it easy to believe and to apply in our lives.

Love,

Joe Perry
